189 positive cases of COVID-19

September 21, 2020

The Macon County Health Department announces 25 new cases of COVID-19 since Thursday’s press release.

Of these new cases: 10 are under 19, one is age 20-29, four are age 30-39, four are age 40-49, four are age 50-59, one is age 60-69 and one is age 70-79.

12 of these new cases were spread through school contacts and 13 are community spread.

At the time of this press release, the following reflects cases of COVID-19 in Macon County –

  • 189 positive cases
  • 39 active positive cases
  • 3 hospitalizations (included in the active positive case count)
  • 150 released from isolation

In the past 24 hours, the state of Missouri has added 1,328 positive cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the state total to 112,844 positive cases of COVID-19.

Possible COVID-19 exposure at Music Festival on September 3-5 at Macon County Fairgrounds

September 14, 2020

The Lafayette County Health Department has announced that 2 positive residents attended the music festival held at the Macon County Fairgrounds on September 3-5, 2020.  Anyone who attended the music festival should monitor for symptoms and contact their primary care provider or the Health Department if they begin experiencing symptoms.  Symptoms of COVID-19 can range from mild to moderate and could include: fever, cough, congestion, abnormal shortness of breath, muscle aches and chills, new loss of taste or smell, abnormal headache, abnormal fatigue and nausea/vomiting/diarrhea.  Symptoms can take up to 14 days to begin after exposure.

The Macon County Health Department announces 9 new cases of COVID-19 in the county.  Three are under the age of 10, three are age 10-19, one is a male age 20-29, one is a female age 30-39 and one is a male age 40-49.

Four are students at area schools and four are household contacts to a positive student or teacher at an area school.  One case is community spread. The communities of Macon, Bevier and La Plata are affected by today’s press release.

At the time of this press release, the following reflects COVID-19 cases in Macon County –

  • 154 positive cases
  • 45 active positive cases
  • 3 hospitalized (included in the positive case count)
  • 109 released from isolation

In the last 24 hours, the state of Missouri has added 1,613 positive cases of COVID-19 bringing the state total to 102,747.

145 Positive cases of COVID-19 in Macon County

September 12, 2020

The Macon County Health Department announces five new cases of COVID-19 in the county.  Two are female under age 20, one is female age 30-39, one is male age 30-39 and one is female age 50-59.  Two are household contacts of positives, two are community spread and one is a college student.  Two Macon County schools are impacted by today’s positives.

At the time of this release, the following reflects COVID-19 cases in Macon County –

  • 145 positive cases
  • 37 active cases
  • 3 hospitalized (included in the positive case count)
  • 108 released from isolation

In the last 24 hours, the state of Missouri added 1,974 cases of COVID-19, bringing the total for the state to 101,134 positive cases.

140 positive cases of COVID-19 in Macon County

September 11, 2020

The Macon County Health Department announces 9 new cases of COVID-19 in the county.  One is a male under 19, four are female under 19, one is male age 40-49, two are female age 50-59 and one is male age 60-69. Two are household contacts of previous positive cases and seven are community spread.  Of the seven community spread cases, six are related to positive cases in schools.

At the time of this press release, the following is accurate of cases of COVID-19 in Macon County

  • 140 positive cases
  • 35 active cases
  • 3 hospitalized (included in the positive case count)
  • 105 released from isolation

The state of Missouri added 1,569 cases in the past 24 hours bringing the total cases in Missouri to 99,160 positive cases.

131 positive COVID-19 cases

September 10, 2020

The Macon County Health Department announces eight new cases of COVID-19 in the county. Two are male under 19, one is female 20-29, one is female 30-39, two are male 30-39, one is male 60-69 and one is female 60-69. Seven are community spread within school systems and one is community spread.

At the time of this press release, the following reflects cases of COVID-19 in the county –

  • 131 positive cases
  • 28 active positive cases
  • 3 hospitalized (included in the active positive case count)
  • 103 released from isolation

The state of Missouri added 1,362 cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the state total to 97,591 positive cases.

The state of Missouri will be hosting free testing for Missouri residents at eight locations throughout the state from September 14-23, 2020.  To find locations or register for these testing events, visit  health.mo.gov/communitytest.
