On December 19th, we had the honor of expressing our heartfelt appreciation for Mike Chambers by hosting a retirement party at the Macon County Health Department. Mike dedicated nine years to the department, leaving a lasting impact on all of us!

In March of 2024, the Macon County Health Department and Community Partners collaborated to develop a Community Health Assessment (CHA). The CHA aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the community health concerns and identify strategies to address these issues. Following a series of meetings and discussions, a survey was created to gather individual input and prioritize top concerns. The results indicated mental health, youth health, and access to care as the primary areas of focus. We are now working to address these concerns and enhance our community’s well-being.
